10% added to Degree Classification for Final Year Students in COVID-19 Pandemic

The Issue

We are currently facing at local, communal, national and international level of illness, anxiety surrounding the illness' power of destruction and lifestyle changes and restrictions. This is due to the PANDEMIC of COVID-19. Yet, as final year students we are required to continue as normal to complete our degree or use other unfamiliar means of assessment. With no access to libraries, resources, productive environments and teaching. We are told we are at no disadvantage. If this isn't classed as an 'exceptional circumstance' what is? Why are final year students expected to continue as if the world hasn't stopped and all aspects of our lives impacted? This is a huge disadvantage to our degree classifications and achievement levels which play a huge role in the rest of our lives and careers.

Exceptional Circumstances are events or problems which you did not expect and which stop you being able to perform to the best of your abilities in your studies. For example, bereavement, unexpected personal or family problems or illness. - AKA, Coronavirus.

10% added to final year semester is a small ask in such unprecedented and uncertain times.
