❤️ RESPECT — Because Respect Must Come First

 

Respect should always come first. It is the foundation of everything I believe in, and it should be at the heart of every relationship, family, school, and community.

 

My name is Caroline. I am a mother and a survivor of domestic violence. Through my own experiences, I have seen how deeply disrespect, control, manipulation, and abuse can affect people and families. I know what it feels like to have your voice unheard and your boundaries ignored.

 

I believe we need to start teaching respect before harm happens.

 

Children and young people deserve to learn about healthy relationships, kindness, boundaries, consent, equality, self-worth, and what it truly means to respect themselves and others. These are lessons that can help shape how we treat one another throughout life.

 

My dream is to become a domestic violence advocate, work in community services, and build the RESPECT movement into something that makes a real difference.

 

I want to help create educational programs, raise awareness, empower women and children, and encourage communities to understand that respect is not something we should have to beg for. It is something every person deserves.

 

This petition is a call for the Australian Government and relevant decision makers to support greater education and awareness around respect, healthy relationships, and domestic and family violence prevention.

 

I believe change begins with education, understanding, and taking action. We should not wait until someone experiences abuse before we teach the importance of respect.

 

I want to see a future where children grow up understanding their worth, where boundaries are respected, where kindness matters, and where everyone has the opportunity to feel safe, valued, and heard.

 

RESPECT is more than a word. It is a way of life. It is the foundation of a safer future.
