لكل اللبناننين ومحبي لبنان، معا لرفع الظلم عن طرابلس. معًا لإعادة طرابلس الى كنف الدولة اللبنانية، معًا لفرض القانون لحمايتها وحماية اهلها، معا لاحيائها بعد محاولة دفنها من الكثيرين.

نحن الموقّعون أدناه، مواطنين ومواطنات من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، ومن أبناء طرابلس والمهجر، ومن أصدقاء ومحبي لبنان وطرابلس من مختلف الجنسيات، نرفع هذا النداء العاجل لإنقاذ مدينة طرابلس التي تُستهدف يومياً بالإهمال، والتهميش، والتخلي.

طرابلس، المدينة اللبنانية الثانية، وصاحبة ثاني أكبر تراث معماري تاريخي في العالم بعد البندقية، تُترك اليوم خارج كل المعادلات. بينما تنتعش المدن الأخرى، تبقى طرابلس غارقة في الظل، يُطلق عليها لقب "حالة خاصة"، وكأن هذا كافٍ لتبرير الغياب الكامل للدولة عنها.

مبانيها التراثية تنهار تحت أنقاض الإهمال، أسواقها وخاناتها التاريخية محكومة من مجموعات خارجة عن القانون، شعبها يعيش في فقر مدقع وتهميش دائم، مستقبل أبنائها يُسرَق وسط صمت المجتمع المدني وتواطؤ بعض السياسيين وتراثها يُهدم أمام أعين الجميع، كما حصل مع المدرسة التاريخية التي انهارت مؤخراً، بلا أي تدخل رسمي.

طرابلس ليست عبئاً على الدولة، بل كنزٌ وطني مهمل.

موقعها الجغرافي، طاقاتها البشرية، تراثها، ومرفأها... كلّها مقومات تجعل منها أساساً لأي مشروع إنقاذ وطني.

لذلك، نطالب بما يلي:

إنهاء حالة الانفلات في المدينة، وتطبيق القانون على جميع الأراضي الطرابلسية، خاصة في محيط المدينة القديمة.

إطلاق خطة وطنية عاجلة لحماية التراث الطرابلسي، ووقف جميع أعمال الهدم غير الشرعية.

إعادة دمج طرابلس في رؤية الدولة، عبر الاستثمار فيها ثقافياً، وسياحياً، وإنمائياً، لتكون كما تستحق: مدينة نابضة بالحياة لا هامش منسي.

طرابلس تناديكم باسم أهلها، باسم كرامتها، وباسم ما تبقى من إرثها الوطني.

"To all Lebanese and friends of Lebanon, together to lift the injustice from Tripoli. Together to bring Tripoli back into the embrace of the Lebanese state, together to enforce the law to protect it and its people, together to revive it after many have tried to bury it.

We, the undersigned citizens from various Lebanese regions, residents of Tripoli and the diaspora, and friends and lovers of Lebanon and Tripoli from different nationalities, raise this urgent call to save the city of Tripoli, which is targeted daily by neglect, marginalization, and abandonment.
Tripoli, the second Lebanese city, with the second-largest historical architectural heritage in the world after Venice, is today left out of all equations. While other cities thrive, Tripoli remains submerged in the shadows, labeled as a "special case," as if this is enough to justify the complete absence of the state.
Its heritage buildings are collapsing under the rubble of neglect, its historic markets and khans are ruled by lawless groups, its people live in abject poverty and constant marginalization, the future of its children is stolen amid the silence of civil society and the complicity of some politicians, and its heritage is being destroyed before everyone’s eyes, as happened with the historical school that recently collapsed, without any official intervention.
Tripoli is not a burden on the state; it is a neglected national treasure.
Its geographical location, human resources, heritage, and port... all these components make it the foundation for any national rescue project.
Therefore, we demand the following:
- End the state of lawlessness in the city and enforce the law on all Tripoli territories, especially around the old city.
- Launch an urgent national plan to protect Tripoli's heritage and halt all illegal demolition activities.
- Reinstate Tripoli within the vision of the state by investing in it culturally, touristically, and developmentally, so that it can be what it deserves: a vibrant city, not a forgotten margin.
Tripoli calls upon you in the name of its people, in the name of its dignity, and in the name of what remains of its national heritage.
