I lost my job to AI

The Issue

There’s always a cost for convenience.

We came up with seat belts, but now we’ve gotta spend time buckling up. Is those 10 seconds of your life worth it? Obviously.

We invented cars, but we deal with nasty emissions. Is the convenience and economic growth worth wrecking the environment? So far, we’re saying yes, since we’re still running on combustion engines.

What about AI? When do the cons outweigh the pros? How many lost jobs justify developing and using AI? Is 10 million unemployed vs. 5 million new AI-driven jobs an okay trade-off? What about 100 million vs. 1 million? Or 1 billion vs. 1 million?

The UN, Forbes, Goldman Sachs, and a bunch of others are all shouting their predictions, each scarier than the last. But how are they crunching those numbers? Can you really trust them?

I wanna collect real data from people worldwide who think they lost their jobs because of AI.

You’ll see you’re not alone. And the more actual data we get, the easier it’ll be to push governments for any kind of AI regulations.
