Since i've moved to Montvale, I've always cherished the camaraderie and joy that comes with playing field sports. Many of my friends and I are passionate about honing our skills and pushing ourselves to be better athletes. However, as the fall and winter months approach and the days grow shorter, this passion is met with a serious obstacle. The Montvale Community Field, a central hub for aspiring athletes in our area, lacks sufficient lighting, hindering our ability to practice effectively and safely.

Just recently, a close friend of mine had an unfortunate incident. Determined to practice despite the dim conditions, he struggled to see the ball and in an attempt to kick, he missed and slipped. Incidents like these are not isolated. They highlight the urgent need for lighting solutions to ensure the safety and continued growth of our community's athletes. Without appropriate lighting, we risk more injuries and a significant drop in participation in the sports we love.

Implementing proper lighting at Montvale Community Field would not only reduce the risk of accidents, but it would also provide extended opportunities for athletes to train and improve. It would encourage more people to participate, fostering a vibrant and active sports community. Moreover, well-lit fields offer an inspiring environment and act as a beacon of community pride and involvement.
