Her son was murdered. Now she's building a movement seeking justice.
Julia and her teenage son Lorenso were out shopping in California when the unthinkable happened — Lorenso was fatally stabbed in the neck by a 15-year-old. Since that day, his alleged murderer has faced the possibility of a lighter sentence due to Proposition 57. Under Prop. 57, he may serve only a few years in prison because of his age.
