One woman's fight to change the law for working mums

When Joeli Brearley was four months pregnant, she was fired by her employer. Facing unemployment and a high-risk pregnancy, she was forced to choose between her health and seeking justice. The law only gave her three months to file a discrimination claim—barely enough time to recover, let alone fight back.
