Demand the Dismissal of DLNR Chairperson Dawn Chang

The Issue

I am a resident of Hawaii, deeply concerned about the actions and decisions made by our current Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Chairperson, Dawn Chang. It has become increasingly clear that she is not accurately representing our community's interests at large but rather pushing policy that fits her personal agendas.

Our beautiful state is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The DLNR plays a crucial role in preserving these natural resources for future generations. However, under Ms. Chang's leadership, we have seen a shift away from this mission towards policies that seem to serve her own interests rather than those of the community or environment.

For instance, there have been numerous instances where taxpayers concerns were ignored in favor of projects, policies and politics that align with Ms. Chang's personal views or benefit her former associates not the greater good for the people of Hawaii (source: local news reports). This kind of behavior is not only unethical but also goes against the very purpose of having a public servant that serves the people that she works for.

We need someone who genuinely cares about our land and resources, our small local businesses and communities at large, at the helm of DLNR - someone who listens to us, respects our voices, and makes decisions based on what's best for all of Hawaii as a whole.

Therefore, we call upon Governor Greene to dismiss Dawn Chang from her position as Chairperson immediately. We deserve better representation; we deserve leaders who will prioritize Hawaii over their personal agendas as gaslighting.

Please sign this petition if you agree that it's time for change at DLNR – it’s time to put all the people of Hawaii first!
