Madam, your party MP Tapas Pal says he will ask his boys to go and rape CPM women. In a video he has been found saying "If anyone from opposition or their wives and sisters are here, then listen up, if any one of your people touch anyone from TMC I will destroy you, I will not spare them. I will send my boys and they will rape people."

He was also heard saying, "My name is Tapas Pal. If anyone touches any TMC person I will make sure they are dead. I walk around with 'maal'. 'Maal' means revolver. If any CPM person touches anyone in the Choumaha village I will make sure they are destroyed. I will burn their houses down."

Pal went on to say, "I now live in Krishnanagar. No one can harm my workers. A leader is made only because of his workers, and if anyone harms my workers I will kill them. I will pull the trigger myself." 

West Bengal accounts for nearly 13 per cent of crimes against women in India, the highest share of all states. Rape, is a term that is not unknown to us in West Bengal these days. In fact, it tends to have multiplied even after the death sentence of the Nirbhaya accused, somewhat giving a tight smack in the face of democracy, showing how we are turning into a failed nation, unable to protect its women from its own people.

Madam, I am an acid attack survivor and I campaign with Stop Acid Attacks to stop crime against women in India. We believe that this substance (ACID), however, ain't our enemy. The real acid, rooted deep in our attitudes and culture, needs to be recognized, abolished. The acidic statement by your MP is really very insensitive and indicates his criminal mind. We also want you to support our campaign for social change especially the mind set of our countrymen. Please terminate MP Tapas Pal from the party, take a legal action against him. Your action will surly give a positive message to all your followers.
