Once the food bowl of the Pacific, now many Australian food companies have been bought by overseas interests or replaced by generic foreign foods. It has taken livelihoods away from Australian farmers, placed Australian food manufacturing in jeopardy and send profits to multinational companies and foreign countries. Many Australians support our farmers and will pay more for local produce. In a country such as Australia, it's crazy to stop producing our own food - we have the climate, the expertise, the equipment and the skilled workforce. Let's get back to what we do best, producing good healthy food for Australia and the world.
