Tony Abbott MP is an influential Australian politician and was Australia’s 28th Prime Minister, serving from 2013 to 2015. Born in London, England in 1957, he migrated to Australia with his parents in 1960 and entered the political arena as a member of the Liberal Party. Abbott is well-known for his conservative views on issues such as immigration, climate change, and same-sex marriage. He has held numerous positions within the parliament, including Minister for Health and Ageing, and Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations. Abbott is also known for his background in journalism and his strong Catholic faith. After stepping down from the prime ministership, he continued to serve as a Member of Parliament for the seat of Warringah until he was defeated in the 2019 election.
