Sushma Swaraj, born on February 14, 1952, was a remarkable figure in Indian politics, known for her charisma and oratorial prowess. She served as the Minister of External Affairs of India from May 2014 to May 2019, being the second woman to hold the office after Indira Gandhi. Swaraj, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was elected seven times as a Member of Parliament and three times as a Member of the Legislative Assembly. Throughout her political career, she was admired for her diplomatic finesse and compassionate approach towards Indians abroad, utilizing social media platforms to directly address and solve grievances, which gave a friendly face to the ministry. She passed away on August 6, 2019, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service.
