Ronald Harold Johnson, born in 1955, is an American politician and businessman who serves as the senior United States Senator from Wisconsin, a position he has held since 2011. A member of the Republican Party, Johnson first won his Senate seat in the 2010 election, defeating Democratic incumbent Russ Feingold. He successfully retained his seat in the 2016 rematch against Feingold and narrowly triumphed over Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes in 2022.
