Pascale Boistard is a renowned French politician who served as the Secretary of State for Women's Rights under the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Women's Rights from 2014 to 2015 and then Secretary of State for Elderly People and Autonomy from 2015 to 2017. Boistard belongs to the Socialist Party, being elected to the National Assembly for the first time in 2012 representing the 1st constituency in the Somme department. Prior to her political career at the national level, she was Deputy Mayor in charge of social affairs, solidarity, and fight against exclusion in Paris’ 20th district from 2001 to 2008. Boistard is recognized for her commitment to gender equality, social welfare issues, and rights for the elderly.
