Michael McCullough served as the Mayor of Bonney Lake, Washington, from January 2022 until his resignation in March 2024. McCullough holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Houston. He has over 20 years of experience as a trial attorney, serving as a prosecutor for Pierce County and a public defender for King County. Before becoming mayor, McCullough had no prior elected or appointed office experience. His campaign focused on balancing community growth with residential needs, addressing utility costs, and enhancing local amenities.
