Matthew Richard Stone, born in 1971, is an American actor, animator, writer, producer, and musician. He is renowned for co-creating the groundbreaking animated series "South Park" and the acclaimed musical "The Book of Mormon" alongside his creative partner, Trey Parker. Stone's passion for entertainment was evident early on, leading him to study film and mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. It was there that he met Parker, and together they embarked on various creative projects, including starring in the feature-length musical "Cannibal! The Musical" in 1993. Stone's multifaceted career includes roles as a television director, film director, voice actor, television actor, and lyricist, showcasing his diverse talents in the entertainment industry.
