Marie Newman (born 1964) is an American politician and marketing consultant known for her tenure as the U.S. Representative from Illinois's 3rd congressional district from 2021 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, she defeated incumbent Dan Lipinski in the 2020 primary election. The district she represented includes parts of southwestern Chicago and nearby suburbs like Oak Lawn and Western Springs. Newman has a diverse professional background in marketing and advocacy.
