Marc Allison Veasey is an American politician and journalist serving as a member of the United States House of Representatives for Texas's 33rd congressional district. A member of the Democratic Party, Veasey has been in office since 2013. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013, where he served as chair pro tempore of the House Democratic Caucus. Veasey holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Texas Wesleyan University. His career includes roles as a congressional staffer for Congressman Martin Frost and work in real estate with The Woodmont Company. Veasey has been a prominent advocate for issues such as healthcare, education, and workers' rights throughout his political career.
