Kris William Kobach, born in 1966, is a prominent American lawyer and politician currently serving as the Attorney General of Kansas since 2023. A member of the Republican Party, Kobach held the role of the 31st Secretary of State of Kansas from 2011 to 2019. His academic credentials are impressive, with a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, a high school diploma from Washburn Rural High School, a Juris Doctor from Yale University, and a Doctorate from Oxford University. Kobach has also served in various significant positions, including as a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a law clerk for Judge Tacha of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and a Chief Advisor and Counsel to Attorney General John Ashcroft.
