In addition to his acting career, Bridges has been actively involved in politics. He served as a Delegate for District 33 and District 24 in the West Virginia House of Delegates, demonstrating a commitment to public service. Before his political career, he worked in the coal industry as a coal miner at Alpha Natural Resources and a heavy equipment operator at Coal-Mac of Arch Coal.
