Guillaume Pepy

Guillaume Pepy is a prominent figure in the French public transportation sector, best known for his leadership role as the president of SNCF, the French national rail company, from 2008 to 2019. He joined the SNCF in 1993 and held various managerial roles until his appointment as head of the company. Under his stewardship, SNCF faced several challenges including strikes and competition from other European rail operators. Pepy is a graduate of the prestigious HEC Paris and ENA Paris. Prior to SNCF, he served in the French government, notably as an advisor to the Minister of Education and Research.
