Gouvernement du Quebec

The Gouvernement du Quebec is the provincial government of Quebec, the largest province by area in Canada. Comprised of the Lieutenant Governor, the Premier, the Executive Council, the National Assembly, and various departments and agencies, it is responsible for the public administration of the province. Its administrative functions encompass health, education, economy, environment, immigration, justice, and culture. Officially a parliamentary democracy, the government operates within the framework of a constitutional monarchy, in which the Lieutenant Governor represents the reigning monarch. The primary language used in the provincial government is French, reflective of Quebec's cultural identity and history.
