Gladys Berejiklian is an accomplished Australian politician who served as the 45th Premier of New South Wales from January 2017 to October 2021. Born to Armenian immigrant parents, she made history as the first female leader of the New South Wales Liberal Party. Berejiklian, who graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts and a diploma in International Studies, began her political career in 2003, representing Willoughby in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. Her political service includes time spent as transport and industrial relations minister, before her ascent to the premier's role, where she focused on significant infrastructure projects to support the state's continuous growth.
