Fiscalía

Fiscalía is a term used in Spanish-speaking countries to refer to the Public Prosecutor's Office or the District Attorney's Office. It is a governmental body that represents the state in legal proceedings, particularly criminal cases, in order to enforce the law and ensure public order. The Fiscalía has authority and responsibility for the investigation and prosecution of crimes, providing legal opinions in judicial matters, protecting victims and witnesses, and promoting crime prevention programs. In some jurisdictions, it may also provide legal advice to the government or champion public interests in court cases.
