Erin Byrnes is a dedicated public servant and educator with a robust background in political and academic fields. Byrnes earned a Bachelor's degree in Women's & Gender Studies from the University of Michigan and a Master's in Education from the City University of New York. She began her career as a Special Education Teacher with the NYC Department of Education and has since held various influential positions, including Workshop Coordinator & Editor at Think Girl and Assistant Director for America Reads at the University of Michigan. In politics, she has served as a Councilmember at the Dearborn City Council and is currently a State Representative for District 15 in the Michigan House of Representatives.
