Eric Maxwell Johnson is an accomplished American former professional football player and a distinguished public servant. Born and raised in the United States, he played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL) after being selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL draft. Johnson played college football at Yale University. His impressive academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in History from Harvard University, a JD from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in International Relations from Princeton University, and a Certificate in Senior Executives in State & Local Government from Harvard University. Johnson has served as Mayor of Dallas, a State Representative for District 100 in the Texas State House of Representatives, a Regent at Pepperdine University, Of Counsel at Andrews Kurth LLP, and a Partner at Locke Lord LLP.
