Edwin Greene is a dedicated public servant with a comprehensive background in law enforcement and politics. He earned a High School Diploma from Avery County High School and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Mayland Community College. Greene's career in law enforcement began with roles as a Police Officer and Police Chief at the Newland Police Department. He further advanced his career at the Avery County Sheriff's Office, serving as Chief Detective and Chief Deputy. Subsequently, he held the position of Sheriff at the McDowell County Sheriff's Office and worked as an Agent at North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement. Greene continued his service as Detective Captain, Jail Captain, and Detective at the McDowell County Sheriff's Office. Currently, he represents District 85 as a State Representative in the North Carolina State House of Representatives.
