Deputado federal
A Deputado Federal is a member of the Lower House of the National Congress in Brazil. They play a pivotal role in the creation and amendment of laws as well as managing public finances in the country. Essentially, Deputados Federais are representatives of the people, taking into account regional voices in the development of national policies. They are elected via a proportional representation system for a four-year term.
