The Conselho Nacional de Justiça (National Council of Justice) is a public institution operating within the judicial system of Brazil. It was created in 2004 with the primary aim of controlling the administrative and financial performance of the judiciary power, as well as the conduct of judges. The council's mandate includes administrative measures which have the potential to improve the judicial service provided to citizens, ensuring the transparency and efficiency of the legal system in Brazil. Their objective is to promote the necessary actions to guarantee the transparency of procedural acts to society. Despite not holding jurisdictional functions that pertain to trial courts, it examines the compliance of constitutional norms by the judiciary branch.
