Brian Philip Babin is an American dentist and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 36th congressional district since 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he represents a district that encompasses much of southeastern Houston, its eastern suburbs, and areas to the east including Orange. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Babin attended Forest Park High School, earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Lamar University, and obtained a Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Texas. His career includes service as an E-4 in the Texas Army National Guard, a captain in the US Air Force, and a dentist in private practice. Babin's political career includes roles as an alderman, mayor, and multiple terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
