Andrew P. Zwicker is an esteemed American physicist and politician currently serving as a New Jersey State Senator for the 16th Legislative District, a position he assumed in 2022. Before his time in the Senate, Zwicker represented the same district in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He is a dedicated member of the Democratic Party and was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in New Jersey's 12th congressional district in 2014. Zwicker holds a Bachelor's in Physics from Bard College and a Doctorate in Physics from Johns Hopkins University. He has had a distinguished career at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, where he led roles in strategic partnerships, science education, communications, and public engagement.
