We are creating this petition to ask that West Coast stop using McGraw Hill as the sole provider for our education.

McGraw Hill has effectively replaced any kind of teaching in our courses, and so far has proven lackluster in terms of student performance and satisfaction. There is no reason for our teachers not to create their own power points, own assignments, and their own tests with an actual bank of questions they created. There is clear lack of fluidity between material being taught and the material being tested on, and coupled with the fact that some teachers are not providing study guides, students can feel in the dark when it comes to studying. Tuition has only been increasing and it feels as if West Coast is still trying to cut corners when they can. On top of this, students must “rent” textbooks for the price of actually owning one, which is ridiculous considering we “rent” it for four more months after we’ve already finished the class. 

We are not asking to completely remove the tool but we are asking to bring the humanity back into our classrooms.
