Protest The Yogi Bhajan Memorial Highway on June 17th

Whereas; it is also widely known, and now more publicly acknowledged, that Yogi Bhajan headed drugs and weapons smuggling operations from Asia and US telemarketing schemes targeting the elderly.

Whereas; several of Yogi's disciples were charged in these schemes with crimes by the FBI, SEC and FTC.

Whereas; I, Gursant Singh, the creator of this petition, personally witnessed many frauds and abuses by Yogi Bhajan from 1979 until 2004 and it angers me that New Mexico leaders would continue to honor Yogi Bhajan even after these many accounts of fraud and rape by the Yogi have been deemed "credible" by independent investigators. 

Whereas; I, Gursant Singh, own property and a business on NM State Rd 106, the current "Yogi Bhajan Memorial Highway", and I am ashamed when visitors from abroad ask me why the great state of New Mexico is honoring a man who used, abused, raped, and defrauded so many. 

Whereas; when former students of the Yogi drive on State Road 106, the current "Yogi Bhajan Memorial Highway", they are  reminded of how they were defrauded, abused and assaulted by this sexual predator. 

Therefore; I am asking the good and decent citizens of New Mexico and others of conscience from around the world, to sign this petition which demands of New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham that the “Yogi Bhajan Memorial Highway” sign be removed and the dedication of NM State Road 106 as a memorial highway to Yogi Bhajan be rescinded.
