Demand a United Africa: Pressure Governments to Debate Continental Unification Now!

The Issue

We, the People of Africa,
For too long, our continent has been divided by artificial borders, exploited by foreign powers, and ruled by leaders who prioritize personal gain over the collective good. Africa holds 30% of the world’s minerals, 65% of its arable land, and 1.3 billion people—yet we remain fragmented, impoverished, and silenced. From the assassination of visionary leaders like Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara to the economic enslavement of the CFA franc, foreign interference has sabotaged our unity to keep us weak.

Enough is enough.
We demand that African governments immediately table motions in their parliaments to debate the creation of a United States of Africa—one nation, under one flag, with one currency and a president who serves the people, not foreign interests. Inspired by leaders like Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, who defied neo-colonialism to prioritize African sovereignty, we call for:

Three Non-Negotiable Demands:

1️⃣ Debate Continental Unification in Parliaments

  • Every African nation must hold open parliamentary debates on unifying under a single federal government.
  • Establish a continental task force to draft a constitution prioritizing resource sovereignty, pan-African trade, and grassroots representation.

2️⃣ Boycott Foreign Corporations Looting Africa

  • Ban extractive firms like TotalEnergies, Glencore, and De Beers until they pay reparations for stolen resources.
  • Redirect mining revenues to fund education, healthcare, and infrastructure for Africans—not foreign shareholders.

3️⃣ Revive the Gold-Backed African Currency

  • Abolish the CFA franc and reject the IMF’s debt traps.
  • Launch a new currency backed by Africa’s $1.5 trillion in gold reserves to break free from the U.S. dollar and euro.

  • Why This Matters
Kwame Nkrumah warned: “Africa must unite or perish.” Today, climate disasters, corporate greed, and foreign wars demand we act.
  • Thomas Sankara proved: When Burkina Faso prioritized food sovereignty over IMF loans, it achieved self-sufficiency in 4 years.
  • The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) shows unity is possible—now we must take it further.

Our children deserve a future where Africa’s wealth benefits Africans—not foreign powers.
