For nearly eight years, the volunteer Turtle WoW development team and its passionate community of thousands have dedicated themselves to preserving and thoughtfully expanding the magic of the original 2004 World of Warcraft.
Through the highly acclaimed "Mysteries of Azeroth" expansion, this project delivered a true, authentic "Vanilla+" experience. By introducing High Elves and Goblins, establishing cross-faction diplomacy, and creating vibrant new zones that seamlessly respected Blizzard’s original design philosophy, Turtle WoW proved that the classic world still holds infinite potential.

Following the recent legal injunction and the heartbreaking May 14, 2026 shutdown, our massive community has been left displaced. We deeply understand and respect Microsoft and Blizzard’s legal obligation to protect their valuable intellectual property. However, the history of this franchise proves that overwhelming community passion should not be erased—it should be embraced. Just as the historic 2016 Nostalrius petition paved the way for the massive commercial success of the official WoW Classic, we are asking Microsoft Gaming to take a visionary, progressive step forward.

Under the new leadership of CEO Asha Sharma, Xbox has bravely championed affordability, player choice, and community-driven digital ecosystems. We petition Microsoft and Blizzard to bring Turtle WoW out of the shadows, sanitize it legally, and welcome it into the official World of Warcraft family.

This petition does not seek to overlap with or render redundant the official open letter from the Turtle WoW team to Blizzard. Rather, the creator of this petition, who is just another turtle wow player, who loves this server from the bottom of his heart, hopes that this petition will help in showcasing the sheer scale of community support behind their message and to firmly reinforce the vital points they have raised.

Specifically, we respectfully ask Blizzard Entertainment to:

1. Adopt and Rebrand: Launch an official, subscription-supported "WoW: Classic Turtle Experience" utilizing the beloved Turtle WoW game files, mechanics, and "Mysteries of Azeroth" content, recognizing it as a distinct flavor of Classic WoW.
   
   
2. Preserve Our Journeys: Facilitate a full, secure database transfer of all existing Turtle WoW accounts, characters, items, and statistics to these new official servers. Our eight years of dedication and time investment matter.
   
   
3. Hire the Talent: Bring the brilliant Turtle WoW developers onboard as official consultants, developers, or specialized Game Masters. Their continued oversight is absolutely vital to preserving the strict anti-botting economy, the social magic of the Survival profession tents, and the heartwarming community spirit of Everlook Radio.

The unique spirit of Turtle WoW—where players gather around crafted campfires, tune into live community radio, and explore new horizons without the toxicity of illicit GDKP economies—is exactly what the MMORPG genre desperately needs today.

Please, do not let eight years of love, lore, and community disappear into the legal void.
Adopt the project, hire the fans who kept the spirit alive, and let the adventure officially continue.
