For the Better Part of Two Decades, the FMCSA has implemented a plethora of Directives Targeting Truckers.

Many of these Directives target Vehicle safety. Everything from how many reflective triangles you have, to the placement of those device. They EVEN regulate how much and what increment you have to have of reflective tape.

During these two Decades., the FMCSA and DOT have ignored even more basic common sense items that would drastically improve safety, especially during inclement weather.

By now you are asking yourself, what could possibly improve safety that much...and thats simple...its mandating motor carriers to give their drivers a meens to communicate with other drivers...

That is why we are demanding Congress, The FMCSA and the DOT to bring change to the required safety devices clause of the FMCSA Rules to Include CB or GMRS radios., "whichever is more popular".

Think about how common sense this is> Every Interstate truck driver has the exact same job., but we have different employers...

A core value of safety is the ability to communicate directives and safety concerns...

A CB or GMRS Radio would give truckers the first hand (Ability) to relay vital information to other truckers who are approaching  a dangerous situation.

This would be most beneficial during INCLEMENT weather, over hilly terain and in urban areas and interchanges were numerous bridges are prone to rapidly freezing.

Infact...it has been widely documented by local and state authorities during accident reconstruction that the overwhelming amount of vehicles involved in multi vehicle pileups did NOT have a cb.

***you can ask ANY Trucker who has over 1 million miles without accidents how beneficial a CB Radio is...and they will tell you that it is worth its weight in GOLD from a safety Standpoint***

We are NOT asking that you require Truckers to use the radio if implemented. We are simply asking you to demand the FMCSA, the DOT, employers and truck manufacturer's provide working CB Radios to drivers so they have the ABILITY to communicate with other drivers.
