Cornwell Farm is a historic property in Great Falls, Virginia that was built in 1831 and has been an important landmark in Great Falls and Northern Virginia. Great Falls has undergone significant development in the past decade and the community's rural and historic character is being destroyed to create developments, such as the one proposed by Versailles Custom Homes, that will degrade real estate values and detract from our community's history and character (see this link for more information).

Cornwell Farm is a fully functioning property with an updated house and could likely find a preservation-minded owner if it were not under imminent threat of destruction. The house has been spared from destruction in the past due to community support and it would be a serious loss to the region's history and character if it were lost. The constant development in Great Falls threatens to erase the community's past as an important agricultural region in Northern Virginia and destroy the rural character that makes Great Falls a desirable place to live.
