I've been suffering with psoriasis since I was 18 years old. When I was supposed to be confident and feel pretty, I felt ashamed and embarrassed. I am still embarrassed about the way my skin looks now; I am self-conscious and have to go through different treatments and medications which all cost money. There's no cure for psoriasis, there are only certain ways to manage it, and I am yet to find mine. Until then, it's costing me and others suffering a lot of money on prescriptions.

Psoriasis affects approximately 2-3% of the global population (National Psoriasis Foundation). The financial burden of managing this chronic condition can be overwhelming, especially considering that treatment is ongoing throughout a patient's life.

We urge the government to make all patients with skin conditions like psoriasis exempt from paying for their prescriptions for life. This change would alleviate significant financial stress for those already dealing with the physical and emotional challenges of these conditions.
