The Communications Arts Center (CAC), part of the UWO-Fox Cities campus, is a vital part of the cultural and economic fabric of our community. This facility regularly hosts art exhibitions, music concerts, and theatrical presentations. These enrich our cultural landscape, provide valuable performance opportunities for local and touring artists and groups, and are enjoyed by thousands of Winnebago and Outagamie County residents.. 

With the announced closure of the campus, the CAC is under threat. We believe that its continued operation is essential, not only for maintaining the vibrant cultural scene in the Fox Valley, but also for nurturing the many creative talents of our residents. We strongly urge Winnebago and Outagamie counties, both of which own the campus facilities, to keep the CAC  open and affordable for use by community arts, music, and theater groups. In order to maintain the operation of the CAC, we also ask that the counties provide technical staff support for facilities operations. In recent years, CAC staff expenses have been funded by income from outside organizations. We expect that ongoing operations can be similarly self-funded. Continuing the CAC as a community resource will preserve this precious cultural asset for current and future generations.
