Snow Leopards must be saved

Snow Leopards must be saved
The Issue
THIS IS ANIMAL CRUELTY!!! The Snow Leopard species is an endangered part of the big cat family. Native to China, Russia, India and the Himalayas, this species currently has a population of less than four thousand due to poaching and illegal trade. This beautiful majestic creature faces the cruel reality of habitat loss, poaching, and decline in available prey. By signing this petition you can help lessen the weight these big cats carry.
Snow leopards face the harsh reality that about one of its kind is killed or illegally exported every day. This is due to illegal trade, illegal poaching, and environmental loss. Us humans are the leading factor against the snow leopards population decline. As of right now, there are 600-700 snow leopards in zoos, versus the estimated 3,500-7,000 in the wild.
While this is a great difference, it is not perfect. Some snow leopards are in hostile captivity. Despite most captive snow leopards being in zoos, some are traded, illegally exported and meticulously slaughtered. We need to shut down these places and realest their snow leopards into the wild or into trusted zoos or sanctuaries.
One of the main problems between humans and snow leopards is hunting. Humans hunt the snow leopard population for three main reasons: Fur, bones, and traditional medicine. These reasons are not uncommon in animal hunting, especially in the hunting of big cats. However due to superstition and falsely shared information, people hunt snow leopards for their body parts that they think have magical medical properties.
All in all, we need to stop the killing and illegal hunting of snow leopards. Together we need to save and protect these magnificent big cats. By signing this petition, you are contributing saving the SNOW LEOPARDS
