Help Make Pacific Park a True Community Space!
As a dog owner and neighbor living directly across from Pacific Park, I know firsthand how important this space could be for all of us -- dog owners, parents, kids, and neighbors. But right now, the park's potential is going to waste. 

The Problem: 
The dog run and children's parks are locked as early as 6 PM for much of the year, making it nearly impossible for working professionals and families to enjoy the space after work or school. In the summer months, the doors close at 8:30 PM -- just when the weather is finally perfect for an evening walk or playtime. To make matters worse, the park's maintenance has steadily declined, creating a less safe and welcoming environment for both dogs and kids. 

Why It Matters: 
Pacific Park is supposed to be a community asset, owned by the Pacific Park Conservancy (PPC) and opened for public use. Yet the PPC has refused to engage with residents on solutions -- leaving dog owners, parents, and kids in a high-density neighborhood with few options for safe, shared outdoor spaces.

We deserve a park that reflects the needs of the community: longer hours, better upkeep, and a space where dogs can run and kids can play safely. Your voice matters.
