Reduce Knife Crime in Greater London

Reduce Knife Crime in Greater London

The Issue

Last week, Anita Mukhey, a member of our local Sindhi community in North London became the latest victim of the rising knife crime in Greater London.

The sad demise of dear sister Mrs Mukhey has shocked not only the Sindhi community of UK but also the wider community at large.

This personal tragedy has highlighted the urgency and importance of addressing this issue. Knife crime is not just statistics; it's about real people, families, and communities that are being torn apart.

In 2019, there were 15,080 knife crime offenses in London alone (source: Office for National Statistics). This represents a significant increase from previous years and demonstrates that current measures are insufficient to tackle this problem.

We need stronger legislation against carrying knives unlawfully, more resources for law enforcement agencies to investigate these crimes effectively, and increased funding for education programs that teach young people about the dangers and consequences of carrying knives.

By signing this petition, you're standing with us against knife crime in Greater London. You're saying 'enough is enough' to violence that shatters lives and devastates communities. Please sign our petition today so we can bring about change together.
