Our advocacy group is Lakes Area Skatepark Association (LASA). With the help of Brainerd Community Action, we are a nonprofit with 501(c)3 status. Right now we are spreading awareness for the need of a skatepark in the Lakes Area. Extreme sports, specifically skateboarding, is a healthy outlet for people of all ages, mentally and physically. Not to mention, a skatepark brings the community together. Skateparks break the barriers of age, ethnicity, gender and politics. Barriers that need to come down now more than ever.

We are in the stages of spreading awareness, raising funds and planning for a skatepark. This petition will be presented to the Lakes Area Municipalities to show there is a need for a skatepark in the Lakes Area. Thank you for your support!
