Ban 7-OH, and provide care to active consumers of all ages and backgrounds

The Issue

Alright I've recently watched a YouTube video by the YouTuber Goblin about an "Opiate Vape", and before I get into that let me tell you about Goblin because it's some well needed context we will be using later so I hope you remembered a notebook, but Goblin also known as Nick is a YouTuber who made his claim to semi fame with story's of getting high with friends, and his infamous Tales from the Traphouse, Coke Chronicles, And Rehab storys respectively, he likes to call himself the YouTube druggie ginnie pig where he talks about his experience using and acquiring drugs such as Crack, Xanax, and Cocaine to name a few, he is a fully recovered cali-sober man with definitely some regrets related to his addictions, he also runs a podcast called the Gob-Cast where he interviews famous people his fans want him to talk to or answers calls from his fans where they get to talk about their storys'. Now as I was saying the 7-OH vape in question is legal and purchasable in smoke shops right now, and he even said that there are websites that let you purchase all kinds of kratom, 7-OH, and Mitragyna based products (e.x. Pills) without any age verification meaning your child could potentially buy this vape right now I would also please encourage you atleast skim through some parts of the World Health Organizations 65 page pre review report and also check the Kratom subreddit where multiple smoke shop employees state that they sell thousands of these a day with some customers coming in multiple times a day to purchase something they admit to regret ever trying, this is actually why I made this petition as it sounds heavily a lot like a severe drug addiction. The vape and a majority of the products uses 7-Hydroxymitragynine to get you high, some even have Pseudoindoxyl which is a rearrangement of the 7-Hydroxymitragynine and a user on Goblins Twitter said in apart of his post "The ones w Pseudoindoxyl are even worse bc the pseudo interacts w the opioid receptors in your brain people literally be nodding off on that shit" I have never used either substances but what I'm assuming that fully means is the 7-Hydroxymitragynine goes to your opioid receptors as well as Pseudoindoxyl sort of like mixing 2 different pills at the same time although I do not know if this is true as some research says 7-Hydroxymitragynine is also rearranged in the blood when the chemical makes it there so perhaps I could be wrong. During the using part of Goblins video as the high as starting to come up he mentioned that it felt like popping a quarter or half a Xanax which made him absolutely hate the vape and call it "Disgusting" for those who aren't active fans of his content fairly recently he made a "Drug Consequences: Xanax edition" where he talked about how much Xanax honestly still almost haunts him in a way with it being one of his favorite drugs to use back in the day, back to the "Opiate Vape" He would later go onto say that when sitting down to edit the first half of said video he just couldn't as he had a bad brain fog he decided to check his Twitter and he saw a tweet from a fan of his who had been using kratom and 7-OH on n off for a few months and he said the tweet read something along the lines of "If the government is selling us this they might as well just legalise heroin too" after reading this he sat down for 20-30 mins allowing the high to slowly wear off. I am genuinely upset as a recovering Xanax user myself I hope that this petition can atleast spark up some type of conversation or debate or maybe even a question about the long term effects of Kratom use as whatever company that is selling these damn things clearly has a motive to get you hooked on them for life, and worst of all they taken absolutely 0 precautions to prevent these potentially life ruining devices in the hands of kids, because I feel like if we just let this shit stay rehab is just gonna be apart of everybodys schedule making it an average Tuesday like as if you're going to school or to work but instead you're seeking help blindly....

(Mar.7 2025) So as of today a new Goblin video has came out and it involves an active addict of 7-Oh AND an employee high in the chain of command of one of the company that's actively push out these products who described the 7-OH industry as a "monster", he wanted to speak to Goblin about the industry and the company he works for specifically "7ΩHMZ" off the record because there was some things he couldn't say as a company because he still works with them and most likely doesn't wanna deal with the consequences of what he could've said if he had willingly gone public, also the employee mentions as a company "7ΩHMZ" on November 11 2023 tried to send Goblin some samples of their product because they "Enjoy Goblins drug reviews", and thought that "he might like the product" without telling him at all about the addictive dangers of 7-Oh which greatly ticked off Goblin causing him to do some research on the company himself almost half shockingly finding an article released by the Tampa Bay Times in December 2023 showing that the products packaging contains 0 warnings of addiction, or how it can mix with other medications or substances, with a University of Florida scientist who studies Kratom said that the pills were like a "legal morphine" they were that strong and to create the potent product you would need to create a chemical reaction to convert mitragynine into 7-hydroxymitragynine (Goblin then later in the video compared this to the delta-8 synthetics in the weed industry with kratom having trace amounts of 7-Oh, and cannabis having trace amounts of delta-8). The article then talks about how the product had no label containing the alkaloid levels, and that the package it came in had a printed out sheet with testing results for mitragynine, 7-Hydroxymitragynine, heavy metals, and bacteria with a section of the report being blacked out hiding the name of who ordered the test results. A minor yet very important key detail is that "A representative for 7ΩHMZ hung up on a reporter when reached by phone. The company did not respond to multiple interview requests sent by text and email" here is said article https://www.tampabay.com . Fairly recently from the last 7-Oh related post on YouTube one of Goblins fans had actually sent a video in for Goblin to watch and the video is an excerpt from an interview with Dr. Chris McCurdy an expert on Kratom research on a website specifically related to the difference between 7-Oh, and kratom https://7isnotkratom.com Dr. McCurdy says that mitragynine doesn't effect the opioid receptors the same way 7-Oh does, and how they know this is by using test rats "We got rats addicted to morphine and we simply took away their morphine and replaced it with mitragynine they didn't have any interest in administrating mitragynine to themselves, however we did the same thing with 7-hydroxy and it boom absolutely substituted for morphine" Goblin stopped there and said that he would pause there because that's all he needed to really play to prove his point because most of the time the guy behind the counter at the smoke shop is just as clueless as you are and might not know what it is or assume it's similar to Kratom which is far less addictive. Speaking of Kratom being less addictive with the finding of this video and Goblin playing that part for me I feel confident in saying I was definitely wrong about petitioning for the ban of Kratom as well considering 7-Oh is far more potent and addictive without being advertised as such whilst still trying to fit the opiate abuser recovery industry, and I'm sorry to those who I may or may have yet to offend with it, and I'm planning to get the kratom part of my petition removed. Continuing on with the theme of the video Goblin shows some different 7-Oh based products with examples being "Dozo Perks 7-hydroxymitragynine Party Blend Wild Mango", "Hydro7even 7 Hydroxy Kratom Extract Syrup Watermelon Shush 4oz" with the words "Sippers Only" on the bottle, "Straight Heat 7 Hydroxymitragynine Sipping Syurp Cherry 30ml", "Roxy+ 20mg 7-Hydroxymitragynine 10 Flavored Tablets / Jar", "Press'D Kratom 7 Hydroxymitragynine Tablets 18mg" with the former branding of "Perks" before they changed to "Press'D" with their slogan being "The Perks Of Kratom. Feel the difference with perks", and lastly, and ooh boy is this one a banger if you thought these last ones were hilariously ridiculous wait till you read this shit, better yet I encourage you to go hunting for yourself and find some crazy 7-Oh product names for yourself like wild Digimon, and lastly "Cheech & Chongs Kosmic Ludes" which actually mad Goblin angry when he found as it's an official Cheech & Chong product on their web store with the slogan of "Feel Your Whole Body Say "Ahhhh" With Kosmic Ludes" with nothing about addiction dangers to 7-Oh on the product, but oh wait there's more apparently Goblin screenshotted an old version of the product page and posted it on his Twitter causing the company to change it I'll link the current one here https://cheechandchong.com and goblins video here https://youtube.com (the timestamp is 22:19 if you want to read the old product description.) "Kosmic Ludes are out strongest ride yet, man.... some say they're better than their namesake from 50 years back. (Honestly, there's no way to tell now, but they are still pretty fun....) These chewable tablets are made with 7.5mg of 7-OH alkaloids from White Vein Kratom, best known for its ability to make you feel like you've been wrapped in a warm blanket of full-body comfort and genuine bliss. Just chew one tablet, wait about 10 minutes, and enjoy the euphoria for 2-3 hours." Personally I find the last little entry about the blanket just being a million dollar corporate metaphor for it being an opioid like high, and it's saddening that they're trying to sell fake Quaaludes made of 7-Oh and advertise them as better and more fun potentially then regular Quaaludes, and they even willingly sell it to without any lab testing results being done, it says they're coming soon but c'mon I wonder how long exactly they've been on the way? The saddest part is a big part of Cheech and Chongs audience, and consumer base is young adult smokers too stupid to know better or too high to care less. How much more would the 7-Oh products have to advertise themselves as just legal street drugs before someone decides to notice? I hope anybody reading this who is considering trying these to ween themselves of opiates or just trying these for fun really quadruple check and make sure if this is really something you want to do when there are safer methods to get clean or get high.
