Police get away with brutality more and more. In 2018 the Washington Post reported that 992 people were shot which is way too high. Yet it increased the next yet and in 2019 the Washington Post reported 1,099. This number will only get increased as long as Police get away with it. Not all police are bad but every person shot by Police should be investigated and brought up on charges if necessary not because the whole world sees a video of them killing. George Floyd’s murder would have never gotten in trouble if that video was released, thousands of people wrongful deaths weren’t on video and they and their families have not gotten justice. The African-American community is primarily effected by police brutality but so are many people of color and even some caucasians are effected by this. We have to put an end to this so people can stop living in fear because Police Brutality has gotten of hand and it’s up to us to stop it.
