I’m not about to give the same old song and dance; we all know marijuana should be legalized for recreational use. A new industry would bring tax revenue to the state & jobs to the people- God knows we need these things now more than ever. It’s in Iowa’s best interest that we FINALLY get the ball rolling on this.

Marijuana’s already recreationally legal in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, and Washington. Not to mention it’s decriminalized in Minnesota, Nebraska, AND Missouri. We’re surrounded by states that know the war on cannabis isn’t a good hill to die on.

This is a bipartisan issue... this goes deeper than one’s own desire to use marijuana: this is a matter of personal freedom. Legalize recreational marijuana for those 21 and older! It’s common sense.
