Replace Sargent Brandy Gaither of the Tx-957 unit of AFJROTC

The Issue

Once a thriving community of the future of our military, the TX-957 unit of the AFJROTC at our school has seen a drastic decline in the past year. Prior to the arrival of Sargent Brandy Gaither, we boasted over 100 passionate cadets in our unit - a testament to the effective leadership and sense of belonging the program once provided. However, during the leadership of Sargent Gaither, we’ve seen these numbers drastically fall to just a little over 30. This mass exodus wasn’t a coincidence, but a response to the unhappiness and distaste that the majority of the cadets felt under Sargent Gaither’s leadership.

Such a drastic drop in the program’s participation not only affects those directly involved but hurts the overall spirit of our school and community. It’s imperative that we address this issue swiftly and effectively to bring back the students and restore the unique quality our AFJROTC unit once had.

The call for change is essential not only to restore life to the Corp but also to boost the spirit of the students who passionately align themselves with the mission and values of the AFJROTC. We urge the relevant authorities to consider the negative impact the current leadership has on the unit and opt for a much-needed change. Hence, our petition aims to replace Sargent Brandy Gaither and adopt leadership that respects the dynamics and demands of the Tx-957 unit.
