Many people want to leave Twitter/X and would use Bluesky if they could have private/protected/locked accounts. We know Bluesky have this function on their roadmap but we are asking them to prioritise this and enable the function as soon as possible. People need this because of privacy concerns. There can be many reasons for this:

• Survivors of stalking and other crimes need to be in control of who follows them and who can see their messages.
• People in sensitive work.
• People who just want to use social media to talk to direct friends and family.
• People in small communities of identity, who face oppression by wider society or State oppression.
