The issue

"They said the paperwork didn't exist. I have the stamps. They said the medical tests were finished. I’m holding the empty, unused bottle. My father survived a domestic violence stabbing only to be buried alive by a system that falsifies records to avoid helping him."
This isn't just a story of a "broken system"—it is a story of active, documented deception. While my father suffered from a protruding intestine after a major surgery, the hospital called it 'simple pain' and the housing department called him a 'liability.' I have the photos, the audio, and the physical proof that the official records are a lie. Read the evidence. Demand the truth.
The Issue: A System That Protects Itself, Not the People - Everyone knows the system is broken. We feel it in the endless hold times, the missing paperwork, and the cold indifference of the people behind the desk. Your family feels it you feel it dont just feel it, request every decision in writing or every email have a paper trail cause im sick of private calls or face to face discussions where it didnt happen unless theres evidence.
The issue is that for the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), Link2Home, the whole system every government body - human vulnerability is no longer a priority; it is viewed as a "liability". Hospitals (under massive stress i know) but why put millions of tax payers dollars into ndis when thats being abused. When the hospitals needs them the nurses the doctors. Why do i see medical centres put people through loops just to come back to the same medical doctor to say you are fine or its fine to get that tax payers bulk bill money? Why do people that own legitament business and trade workers or just the everyday citizen are threatened with late tax payments that end up being 5 x more then the actual tax debt? Why do we go under a sea of crap when you have workers (sub contractors for ndis providers ) for ndis providers that bill 2 hours for a 24 min clean job and they used the tissue in the apartment to clean it ? Why does every complaint made wont be replied to straight away because they are recieving a high amount of complaints? Why did the ombudsman complaint did not get investigated properlly it just got closed because it has been resolved with housing ? Why do u buy a house and land to own when ypu pay land tax to the real owners?
The law states that disability requires "reasonable adjustments." The system, however, has decided that if you are a survivor of life-threatening trauma, you are a "risk" they won't take.
We are seeing people discharged from major trauma units—individuals who have survived Code Crimson emergencies—left to fend for themselves. They are being sent out with surgically complex entero-atmospheric fistulas and fascial dehiscence (where surgical wounds have ruptured). These aren't just "medical conditions"; they are ongoing battles for survival.
Yet, when these survivors ask for a roof over their heads, they are told they are "not suitable" for housing. The system’s logic is cold and calculated: It is "safer" for them to leave a man with exposed bowel loops to sleep in a car than to risk the paperwork of a medically accessible room. To them, a human life in crisis is nothing more than a "massive liability" to providers.
The System’s logic is its is safer for them to leave a sick man in a car than to risk the paperwork of a medically accessible room.
Criminalizing Accountability
When we tried to hold the system accountable by filing a ministerial complaint, the staff didn't fix the problem—they retaliated. Transcripts show staff getting "aggressive" and "forceful" because they were being recorded for a legal record. Security was called to tell a man in crisis that documenting his own conversation was a "big, big crime". Once consent was not given it stopped.
The System’s goal: To keep the "ringer" hidden. If you can't record the abuse, the abuse never happened, or request written decisions on everything ot didnt happen.
The Discharge-to-Street
Hospitals are releasing patients into the hands of a housing department that has already decided to reject them. People are advised to "sleep in the car" and come back on Monday after doing "rental diaries"—even though some people are physically incapable of doing so.
The Reality: The system works perfectly for the people in power because it successfully wears victims down until they give up or disappear. As I nearly did dissapear last year I continue to be dissapearing I refuse to leave this place without speaking a truth that what I witnessed and the complaints made didnt mean anything.
Why We Must Act as a Collective?
This isn't just about one man. It’s about a system that has turned "care" into a weapon of exclusion. If we don't demand a legal end to the "Liability Loophole" and the criminalization of accountability, this will happen to your father, your mother, your brother, your sister, or you and it has you just need to remember. 1 person "your just bending the truth or lying" but we as a collective as australians tell us we are lying or tell us we are all a liability!!!!!! Complaints will get pushed under a rug because they dont need to deal with anyone that cant touch them, its about all of us every individual, every mother, father, uncle, auntie, grandmother , grandfather, brother, sister, son, daughter; our sons and daughters are going to experience all of this and worse. I never had a dream or never had anything that meant anything to me except when i woke up to a corrupt system that seemed so evidently true.
YOUR VOICE IS OUR POWER: TAKE A STAND
We are tired of being told we are "liabilities." We are tired of being "disappeared" by a system that was built to protect us. By signing this petition, you are not just adding a name to a list—you are joining a collective movement to demand that human life comes before bureaucratic risk.
What you can do right now:
SIGN THIS PETITION: Let the NSW Government know that we see through the "Liability Loophole" and we will not accept it.
DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: From this day forward, do not accept a verbal "no." If a department, a hospital, or a provider denies you care or housing, demand it in writing. If they refuse, make a note of the time, the name, and the refusal.
SHARE THIS STORY: This isn't just a story of 1 individual—it’s the story of every Australian who has been left in a car, left on a hold line, or left to rot while the system protects its own pockets.
We are the taxpayers. We are the voters. We are the people. They can push one of us under the rug, but they cannot hide all of us. Sign today to make a change and reclaim our right to care, our right to have a voice, a right to have our problems heard.
