We, a group of families separated by distance, are yearning for the ability to visit our loved ones more easily. Our family members reside in both London, UK and Frankfurt, Germany. The current lack of direct flights from Ottawa with Air Canada makes these journeys more difficult than they need to be.

Air travel is already stressful enough without the added complications of layovers and transfers. Direct flights not only save time but also reduce stress levels for passengers. According to a study by the University of California Transportation Center, every hour saved on travel can increase passenger welfare by up to 26% (University of California Transportation Center).

Moreover, establishing these direct routes could potentially boost tourism between these cities and foster stronger international relationships. It's not just about us; it's about connecting communities across borders.

We urge Air Canada to establish direct flights from Ottawa to London, UK  and Frankfurt, Germany, even just once a week. This change will not only help us see our family more often but also benefit countless other passengers who regularly travel between these locations.
